The Population Health Observatory at Fraser Health is looking for a skilled program evaluation specialist to join our team. The Evaluation Specialist will report to the Manager, Population Health Observatory, and will provide expert consultation, advice, direction and support to the Population & Public Health (PPH) leadership regarding program evaluation planning and implementation. The Observatory carries out its work in close collaboration with front-line staff, senior management, medical health officers and community and external partners. The collaborative and integrated nature of our work offers evaluators an enriching professional environment with diverse projects.
Potential current portfolio areas for the position include: an evaluation of the community based overdose prevention response across Fraser Health along with evaluations associated with collaborative Healthier Community Partnership tables. Due to the integrated and local nature of our health authority, the evaluators on our team have an opportunity to design and implement evaluation projects and see their findings influence service design at both operational and strategic levels.Fraser Health is the most populous, diverse and fastest growing health authority in British Columbia with responsibility for the acute care, home care and public health needs of approximately 1.7 million residents across 22 municipalities, including the majority of the residents and municipalities in Metro Vancouver region. The region is home to 40% of new immigrants and over 80% of refugees in BC. The Population Health Observatory supports PPH by conducting health assessment and disease surveillance, quality and performance measurement, and applied research and evaluation.
